• Health & Fitness Data: Weight logs, daily check-ins (mood, hunger, energy levels), and food/nutrition logs you manually enter.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Usage Data: How you interact with the app, including feature usage, meal plan generation history, and saved recipes.
• Device Information: Device type, operating system, and app version.

• To create and manage your account and authenticate your identity.
• To generate personalized meal plans, recipes, and nutrition recommendations using AI.
• To track your nutrition, weight, and wellness progress over time.
• To improve our Service, including the quality of AI-generated recommendations.
• To provide customer support and respond to your inquiries.
• To send important account or service-related notifications.

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the following third-party service providers to operate the Service:

• AI/LLM Providers: Your dietary preferences, goals, and profile data are sent to AI language model services to generate meal plans and recipe recommendations.
• USDA FoodData Central: Food search queries are sent to the USDA food database API to retrieve nutrition information.
• Cloud Hosting & Infrastructure (Google Cloud Platform): Your data is stored on Google Cloud Platform infrastructure, which provides enterprise-grade security, encryption at rest, and compliance with industry standards including ISO 27001, SOC 2, and GDPR. Google processes data strictly as our subprocessor and does not use your data for its own purposes.
• Authentication Providers: Google (Sign in with Google) and Apple (Sign in with Apple), if you choose to use either to sign in. These providers receive your name and email for authentication only.

We may also disclose your information if required by law or to protect our rights and safety.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time through the app's Settings page. Upon deletion, your data is permanently removed from our systems within 30 days.

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (TLS/SSL), secure password hashing, and strict access controls. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Delete your account and all associated data (available directly in the app under Settings → Delete Account).
• Withdraw consent for data processing at any time.
• Request a copy of your data in a portable format.

To exercise these rights, use the account deletion feature in the app or contact us at the email below. If you signed in with Apple, you can also request account deletion through your Apple ID account settings.

As required by the App Store, the data we collect falls into the following categories:

• Linked to Identity: Name, email, profile data, and health & fitness logs are linked to your user account.
• Used for App Functionality: Nutrition logs, weight logs, meal plans, and check-ins are used to provide and personalize the Service.
• Not Linked to Identity: Aggregated, de-identified usage analytics may be collected to improve the Service and cannot be traced back to you.

Nourii is rated for users 9+ and is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Nourii provides nutrition and meal planning information for general wellness purposes only. It is not medical advice and should not replace professional medical or nutritional guidance. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before making significant changes to your diet, especially if you have medical conditions.

If you access the Service from outside the United States, your data will be transferred to and processed in the US on Google Cloud Platform. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer. We comply with applicable data protection laws including the GDPR and CCPA where they apply.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the updated policy within the app or by email. The "Last updated" date at the top indicates when the policy was last revised.
